Major League Soccer side Inter Miami CF is getting a head start on the rest of the league by debuting their new home kit in an exhibition match in Saudi Arabia.
The club unveiled the new kit on Monday, January 29 — just hours before they took to the pitch in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to face Al Hilal SFC, the club that Neymar Jr. now calls home (though he didn’t feature in the game due to a knee injury).
Dubbed the “2Getherness” kit, Inter’s new jersey is “a new, deeper shade of pink” with a subtle M (for Miami) pattern in the stitching of the fabric. Black trim runs around the sleeve cuffs and collar. The Adidas shoulder stripes are black, as are the side panels and the taping running down each side of the shirt and across the back hem. The Adidas logo and Inter crest are centered on the chest.
Sponsor logos on the chest and sleeves are rendered in black. This includes the logo of their new main sponsor, cruise company Royal Caribbean, on the chest. Names and numbers on the back are printed in black.
The back collar features the club motto, “Freedom to Dream,” in black. The same motto is written in Spanish (“Libertad Para Soñar”) in script on the jock tag position.
Inter paired the new shirt with pink shorts and socks for the match in Riyadh on Monday.
Inter Miami continues their preseason tour with another game in Saudi Arabia against Cristiano Ronaldo and Al-Nassr on Thursday, February 1. Then they’ll travel to Hong Kong to take on a team of local all-stars on Sunday, February 4, before taking on Japanese side Vissel Kobe at the Japan National Stadium in Tokyo on Wednesday, February 7.
Inter’s preseason wraps up on Thursday, February 15, when they host Argentinian side Newell’s Old Boys — superstar Lionel Messi’s boyhood club — at DRV PNK Stadium. Their 2024 MLS regular season opens on Wednesday, February 21, when they host Real Salt Lake.
