San Jose Barracuda Officially Unveil Jerseys for AHL All-Star Classic

With the American Hockey League’s All-Star Classic right around the corner, the host San Jose Barracuda have finally given us a look at what the league’s brightest stars will be wearing in the annual showcase.

The Barracuda unveiled the uniforms for the four AHL divisions — Pacific, Atlantic, Central and North — on their social media channels on Thursday, February 1, just days ahead of the All-Star Classic on February 4 and 5 at Tech CU Arena.

Each of the four jerseys uses a different base color from the Barracuda’s palette: black, white, teal or grey. All four feature “AHL” spelled out diagonally on the front of the jersey, contrasting shoulder yokes and the logo of sponsor Tech CU on the left chest.

The waist and sleeves have two stripes running around them, with orange inside edges and stars in between. The right shoulder has a division-specific patch, while the left shoulder has an AHL All-Star Challenge patch.

The Barracuda unveiled the logo for the All-Star Classic back in April 2023. It includes a barracuda fin, palm trees and three stars to represent the three all-star events that San Jose has hosted.

The AHL All-Star Skills Competition will take place on Sunday, February 4, followed by the All-Star Challenge the next evening. The All-Star Challenge will consist of 12 players from each division competing in a 3-on-3 round robin tournament with six games of 10 minutes each. The two teams with the best records at the end of the round robin will face off in the championship final, a six-minute 3-on-3 game.
