From mountains of the Carolinas to the Atlantic Ocean, Major League Soccer’s Charlotte FC are ready to go out in search of a championship in their new home kit for 2024.
Despite rumors floating around that it wouldn’t be released until later in the week, Charlotte FC unveiled the new kit on their social media channels on Monday, February 12. The announcement featured a video with the new kit being worn in many of the different geographical terrains in North and South Carolina.
The kit itself is a nod to those terrains. The front of the shirt starts as white at the top, and then goes through wavy shapes of different shades of blue until finally reaching the club’s Carolina Blue at the bottom.
The “Carolina Kit: Explore” showcases the diverse landscape of the Carolinas, from mountains to sea. The new design is the next iteration of the Club’s foundational primary kit inspired by our home territory in the Carolinas.
Contoured linework displayed across the kit represents the topographical map of both North and South Carolina, while the multiple shades of blue are what you’ll find as you explore from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the Atlantic Coast.

The collar, sleeve cuffs, Adidas shoulder stripes and taping down the sides and across the back hem are all black, as are sponsor logos on the front and sleeves. A black “CLTFC” monogram sits in the jock tag position.
The back of the jersey is solid Carolina Blue with black side panels. Names and numbers are printed in white, and a black map of North and South Carolina appears on the back collar. Like Charlotte FC’s inaugural home kit unveiled in 2022, the sleeves are solid white.

Photos released with the Monday’s announcement showed players wearing the new home kit with white shorts and socks.
The kit reveal may have been pushed up after a similar video shown at a season ticket holder event last week wound up on Twitter.
Charlotte FC’s new home kit for 2024 will officially go on sale on Friday, February 17, though the club is accepting pre-orders through its team store.
