Texas Rangers Reveal 2023 World Series Championship Rings

Saddle up and sparkle — the Texas Rangers have revealed their 2023 World Series champions ring. The rings will be presented to Rangers players before tonight’s [Saturday, March 30] game against the Chicago Cubs.

The ring features the Texas Rangers logo (their primary logo as of 2024) of stylized white “T” with a red drop shadow — the Rangers have worn this design on their caps consistently (and in a couple of colour schemes) for the last 31 seasons.

As is the standard for championship rings in sports these days, the design features symbolism in every possible detail.

The 103 blue sapphires behind the “T” logo represent the 103 regular season and postseason wins by the Rangers in 2023.

The 23 red rubies that make up the logo’s drop shadow are for the year 2023.

The 11 stones within the “T” itself are their 11 road wins during the Postseason

The 16 diamonds along the outer ring (and here’s where we get silly) are for the 16 consecutive postseason games in which the Rangers hit a home run.

The 30 stones circling around the blue center are for the club’s 30 postseason home runs.

The 52 diamonds in the word “CHAMPIONS” are for the club’s 52nd season after moving down to Texas (note, there’s no explanation for the number of diamonds used in the word “WORLD”). The Rangers’ first season in Texas is again noted with 72 diamonds (for 1972) around the side.

A few more details in the graphics below from the team:

Another new feature we’re seeing in championship rings of late is the removable top to make way for even more references — the Rangers filled the inside of their ring with a nod to their perfect road record in the 2023 Postseason, as well as a slice of a game-used World Series baseball.

The absolute best part of the ring is the little Easter Egg (Happy Easter!) inside, in which the word “ROAD” is spelled out using the first letter of all their opponent’s home jersey logos. In a wild coincidence, the Rangers played and beat these teams to spell out the word ROAD: Rays, Orioles, Astros, Diamondbacks. Incredible.

Their opponent during the World Series, the Arizona Diamondbacks, also revealed their 2023 championship ring celebrating winning the National League pennant (yes, this is a regular thing losing World Series teams do… no, the D-backs aren’t being silly).
