USL W League side Oakland Soul Sports Club is tapping into the imagination and the vibrancy of their home city for their 2024 kits, made by Charly.
The club released the jerseys on Thursday, April 18, and will wear them for the first time in their 2024 W League opener on Sunday, May 5, against Stockton Cargo. Both jerseys feature the logo of the Soul’s new primary partner CircleCI — a leading continuous integration and continuous delivery platform — on the front, as well as the logos of Anthem Blue Cross on the sleeve and Ava Community Energy on the back.
The Soul are calling the 2024 primary kit “a wearable piece of art” that is “thoughtfully designed to embody Oakland’s soul through its unique features.” The jersey is predominantly black with a pattern of hand-drawn flowers all over; the pattern is tonal on the front and back and rendered in neon blue, pink and yellow on the sleeves.
Each piece of the Oakland Soul SC CHARLY First Jersey is more than just a garment; it’s a statement of identity, a celebration of community artistry, and a tribute to the timeless appeal of tie-dye. Wear it with pride, whether on the field or cheering from the stands, and carry the essence of Oakland.

The secondary jersey, meanwhile, is a tribute to the Fruitvale district of Oakland, “the beating heart of The Town’s Latino community.” Its purple base is “inspired by the colorful streets and rich elements that define the area’s character,” while the yellow and white patterns radiating out from the club crest “evoke the energy of Fruitvale lively festivals and intricate art.”
Designed to resonate with Oakland’s soul, this jersey is not just a garment but a symbol of unity and pride. The badge at the heart of the jersey signifies a bond with the team and the community it represents. It’s more than just sportswear; it’s a piece of local legacy, a canvas where culture and community converge.
