Although a series of leaks ruined the surprise, the Denver Broncos officially unveiled their new “Mile High” uniforms on Monday morning, marking the first significant overhaul of their look in 27 years.
The orange home, white road and blue alternate jerseys all feature a mountain-like design on the sleeves and an updated version of the Broncos’ previous number font, which is less rounded than before.

The numbers feature perforated triangles, which can also be seen down the sides of the jersey as a nod to the team’s three Super Bowl titles. They are pulled from topographical maps, which use triangles to represent mountain peaks.
“This has been a thoughtful, collaborative journey that’s involved us listening to voices throughout all of Broncos Country to design the Mile High Collection, our modern and inspirational new uniforms for the Denver Broncos,” team president Damani Leech said. “We’re grateful for the engagement and creativity of ownership, the players, our football and business leadership, Nike and especially the best fans in the NFL during this entire process.”
“As we honour the championship tradition of the Broncos, we’re also committed to innovation and growth during such a transformative time in franchise history. Our new uniforms – the Mile High Collection – boldly integrate elements of our past, present and future while paying tribute to Colorado and the Rocky Mountain Region we proudly call home.”
The inside of the back collar includes the phrase “Broncos Country” and “5280,” while the outside of the collar displays a summit marker, which can be seen at the peak of the 58 mountains that exceed 14,000 feet of elevation in Colorado.
The blue, orange and white pants, meanwhile, include a jagged striping pattern similar to the sleeves, as well as “5280” inside the stripes, marking the number of feet in a mile and paying homage to Denver’s status as the “Mile High City.”
Denver has removed the three stripes from its primary blue helmets, replacing them with a truncated design on the back that includes the aforementioned triangles. It has also updated the finish from glossy to matte paint.
The Broncos have also swapped the classic stripes on their white alternate helmets and the throwback “D” logo paired with their old Color Rush uniforms for their primary logo and new striping pattern to match the blue lids.

Additionally, the Broncos will revive their “Orange Crush” throwback uniforms for at least one game each season. The look is complete with a royal blue helmet featuring the iconic “D” logo in its original colors.
This will mark the first time since their Thanksgiving Day victory over the Dallas Cowboys in 2001 that the Broncos will wear this style of throwback uniform, though they wore brown and yellow throwback threads in 2009 to mark the AFL’s 50th season.
