New USL Super League Team Dallas Trinity FC Unveils Name, Logo

Just a couple of days after Dallas citizens found out they’d be getting a new professional women’s soccer team, that team now has a name and a logo.

The owners of the USL Women’s League franchise announced on Thursday, May 9, that the team would be known as Dallas Trinity FC — a tribute to the Trinity River that flows through the city.

They also unveiled a suite of logos and a color palette that includes “sunrise maroon, prairie gold and live oak green,” according to USLSuperLeague.com. “The colors draw inspiration from the city skyline and the Trinity River, which reflects the vibrant nature of Dallas, as well as local pride and excellence.”

“Soccer is the pathway to community for many families. Dallas is the perfect backdrop for our expansion, growth and community to grow wings,” said club CEO Jim Neil.

“North Texas has been waiting for this, and now is the right time for professional women’s soccer in Dallas – the best sports business city in the country,” added club president Charlie Neil.

Dallas Trinity will take the field for their first USL Super League season this August. They’ll play in the historic Cotton Bowl stadium thanks to a two-year, $296,000 annual subsidy approved by Dallas City Council on Wednesday, May 8.
