Today, the Toronto Blue Jays announced some details surrounding their upcoming Nike MLB City Connect uniform release and the accompanying “City Week” promotion, which will run during their next homestand from May 31 through June 6.
Things get underway on Thursday night when the Blue Jays unveil the new look via their various social media channels. This is in advance of the uniform’s on-field début just one night later – Friday, May 31, against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Merchandise featuring the new design will be available to fans on Friday morning at 8 a.m. ET.
The Blue Jays will wear the City Connect uniform again on June 3 and 5. The June 3rd game will feature a bobblehead giveaway for the first 15,000 fans of Vladimir Guerrero, Jr. wearing the City Connect uniform, and the June 5th game will see the first 15,000 fans get a City Connect-themed Blue Jays backpack.
No official details of the new City Connect uniform design for the Blue Jays have been revealed yet; however, a photo posted to Reddit last week has been circulating, showing a dark navy blue cap with a red and blue “T” logo and a red maple leaf.
The Toronto Blue Jays will be the seventh of nine MLB teams scheduled to reveal their new City Connect uniform during the 2024 season. The Minnesota Twins and Los Angeles Dodgers will be the only two left following Toronto’s unveiling later this week. The Phillies, Mets, Guardians, Rays, Cardinals, and Tigers have all previously unveiled their uniforms earlier in the season.
