There’s a Major League Baseball All-Star Game leak; it must be Summer!
Thanks to a recent series of Tweets, we’ve gotten a first glimpse at one of this year’s MLB All-Star Game uniforms, which will be worn during the All-Star festivities in Arlington, Texas, next month.
Just so everyone’s clear, please note that these are the All-Star Game’s Workout Day caps—what the All-Stars wear the day BEFORE the big game, you know, for the Home Run Derby and all that. The actual All-Star Game will see a different cap design.
The photos show a white panel cap with a shooting star graphic across the front. The team’s usual logo is on the front, the All-Star game logo is on the side, and a star-themed pattern is on the undervisor. Another set of photos shows a mesh back half with a similar design.
Major League Baseball All-Stars have been wearing special lids for the All-Star Workout Day since the 2007 season, which were then league-themed rather than team-themed. They stopped issuing “AL” and “NL caps in favour of re-designed team caps in 2014.
Unless we hear otherwise, we’re left to assume that All-Stars will again wear special caps AND jerseys for the All-Star Game itself in 2024, just as they have done since the 2021 game in Denver.
