The New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies are in England this weekend for a two-game series, the next stop on Major League Baseball’s 2024 World Tour.
It’s the third time the league has gone to the United Kingdom for regular season baseball, having done so previously in 2019 with the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees, and then again last year when the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals made the trip.

The Mets will be the home team for the Saturday game, and the Phillies will play host on Sunday. Both clubs will wear special patches on the sides of their caps and jerseys: a fairly uninteresting navy blue rectangle with the event logo.
A series of logos were created for the game; they follow the same template as those used for the previous MLB World Tour games this year in the Dominican Republic, Seoul, and Mexico.
The two-game series will be held at London Stadium, home to West Ham United of England’s Premier League since 2016. The stadium was originally constructed as the Olympic Stadium for the 2012 Summer Games in London.
