“We are thrilled that the Hall of Fame logo will be worn by the best players in the game this weekend and be seen by millions of fans around the world,” said Josh Rawitch, President of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. “As the Class of 2024 is honoured in Cooperstown and the Museum celebrates its 85th birthday, it is fitting that the legends of tomorrow will be a part of history today with this first-of-its-kind cap.”
The Baseball Hall of Fame’s logo features a white baseball with red stitching on a field of red and white horizontal stripes with a single row of white stars on a blue bar above, and the museum’s name included.
The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum is an independent not-for-profit educational institution dedicated to fostering an appreciation of the historical development of baseball. The first class of honoured members were inducted on June 12, 1939, and was made up of players and managers who had been elected over the course of four years between 1936 and 1939. The first five to be elected in that inaugural class of 1936 was quite the legendary group: Ty Cobb, Walter Johnson, Christy Mathewson, Babe Ruth, and Honus Wagner.
