The ECHL’s Indy Fuel are looking to rev things up with some new logos for the new season.
The Fuel unveiled the new logos on their social media channels on Monday, July 29. While the main concept of the of the logos remains the same, the execution has changed.
The Fuel’s new primary logo features “FUEL” written out in red with a yellow outline and a black drop shadow overtop a hockey puck. “INDY” is written out in a smaller, white font above. The puck has a yellow circle on its face and a dark grey checkerboard pattern on its side, reinforcing the auto racing theme.
The secondary logo is the F from “FUEL” in the primary logo on its own. Like the puck in the primary logo, the F has a dark grey checkerboard pattern in its drop shadow.
The Fuel also released a new wordmark on Monday, with the words “INDY FUEL” written out in red with black drop shadows.
No mention was made in Monday’s announcement about new jerseys or when fans can expect to see them.
The new logos coincide with the Fuel’s move to the new Fishers Event Center for the 2024-25. They previously played their home games at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum on the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
The Fuel begin their 2024-25 ECHL regular season on Friday, October 18, with a visit to the Savannah Ghost Pirates. They’ll play their first 15 games on the road while construction wraps up on the Fishers Event Center. The Fuel will finally play their first game in their new rink on Friday, December 6, against the Iowa Heartlanders.
