The 2024-25 NFL season is already underway, kicking off on August 1st with the pre-season Hall of Fame Game between the Chicago Bears and Houston Texans.
As we’ll detail in our full season preview next month, several teams were redesigned this offseason. A handful of teams also added alternate helmets or throwback uniforms to their closets.
With that, we’ve compiled a schedule of when every alternate and throwback uniform will be worn this season, and we’ll continue to update it as teams announce what they’ll wear and when.
Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons will wear their throwback uniforms, complete with red helmets, in three games this season, including against the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 29, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Oct. 3 and the New York Giants on Dec. 22.
Carolina Panthers
The Panthers will wear their blue alternate jerseys against the Atlanta Falcons on Oct. 13 and New York Giants on Nov. 10. It’s unclear when they’ll wear their black alternate helmets, though they must be worn with their black jerseys against the New Orleans Saints on Nov. 3, Kansas City Chiefs on Nov. 24, Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Dec. 1 or Arizona Cardinals on Dec. 22.
Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals announced they will wear their new orange pants with orange jerseys in the season opener against the New England Patriots on Sept. 8, as well as with black jerseys against the Cleveland Browns on Dec. 19. They’ll also wear their white alternate helmets, which have been paired with their white road jersey and pants since last season, against the Philadelphia Eagles on Oct. 27.
Denver Broncos
The Broncos will debut their “Orange Crush” throwback uniforms against the Las Vegas Raiders on Oct. 6. They’ll also wear them on Jan. 5 against the Kansas City Chiefs, meaning we’ll only see their white alternate helmets once this season.
Houston Texans
The Texans will debut their “H-Town Blue”-accented Color Rush uniforms against the Buffalo Bills on Oct. 6 and wear their all-red alternate uniforms against the Detroit Lions on Nov. 10.
Indianapolis Colts
The Colts will bring back their “Indiana Nights” alternate uniforms, complete with black helmets, against the Detroit Lions on Nov. 24. They’ll also host a “Winter Whiteout” and wear all-white against the Tennessee Titans on Dec. 22.
Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars will wear their 1990s throwback uniforms against the Indianapolis Colts on Oct. 6, then debut their new white alternate helmets against the Minnesota Vikings on Nov. 10.
Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins will wear the home version of their 1966 throwback uniforms against the Buffalo Bills on Sept. 12, then don the road version for their Thanksgiving Day matchup with the Green Bay Packers.
Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings will wear their new “Winter Warrior” alternate uniforms, complete with white helmets, against the Chicago Bears on Dec. 16.
New York Giants
The Giants will debut their new “Century Red” throwback uniforms in the season opener against the Minnesota Vikings on Sept. 8 and will bring back their 1980-99 throwback uniforms for their annual Legacy Game against the Washington Commanders on Nov. 3.
New York Jets
The Jets will wear “The Classic” throwback uniforms against the Buffalo Bills on Oct. 14, then wear their all-black alternate uniforms against the Houston Texans on Oct. 31.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles will bring back their Kelly green throwback uniforms for games against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Nov. 3 and Dallas Cowboys on Dec. 29.
San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers will wear their 1994 throwback uniforms three times this season, including the road version against the Seattle Seahawks on Oct. 10 and the home version against the Dallas Cowboys on Oct. 27 and the Detroit Lions on Dec. 30.
Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks will counter the 49ers by wearing their own 1990s-era throwback uniforms for their Thursday night matchup on Oct. 10.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Buccaneers will bring back their creamsicle throwback uniforms against the Atlanta Falcons on Oct. 27.
Washington Commanders
The Commanders announced they’ll wear their black alternate jerseys against the Chicago Bears on Oct. 27 and Tennessee Titans on Dec. 1. It’s unclear when their new gold pants will make their debut, though, as they’ll be determined the week of the game.
