This past weekend, the NFL allowed players to wear customized cleats to promote a cause that is important to them though the league’s annual “My Cause My Cleats” initiative.
More than 1,000 players participated in the campaign, which launched during the 2016 season, and several hundred causes and philanthropic organizations were represented.
Players now have the option to donate their cleats to the league, which will auction them off in the coming weeks and donate all proceeds from the sale to their respective causes or charities.
That said, we’ve compiled a gallery of some of our favorite cleat designs from last weekend, which promote everything from mental health and disease awareness to social justice issues.
