Utah Jazz To Debut New Statement Edition Uniforms On Tuesday

As part of their two-season transition to a new uniform design, the Utah Jazz will debut their new Statement Edition set during Tuesday night’s game against the Atlanta Hawks (9 p.m. ET on NBA League Pass).

The Jazz announced in June the multi-year process that will once again put mountains and the color purple at the forefront of their branding, replacing their current black and highlighter yellow scheme by 2025-26.

Utah has worn its current set since 2022-23 but notably scrapped its highlighter yellow Icon Edition design midway through last season, pushing the (now) old black Statement set to the primary road look.

However, effective Jan. 1, that Statement uniform has been replaced by another black design that prominently displays the Jazz Note logo on the chest with mountains in the background and purple and light blue accents on the collar and side panels.

The Jazz’s uniform rotation for the rest of the season now features the new Statement set, their white, black and highlighter yellow Association design and their 2024-25 City Edition uniform, which includes a slanted “Utah” wordmark in front of white and light blue mountains.

The City Edition uniform will be replaced by a new look next season while the Statement set will remain part of Utah’s rotation in 2025-26, when it will be joined by new white Association and purple Icon Edition designs that have already been unveiled.

These uniforms take their cues from the Jazz’s 2023-24 City Edition design, with a modernized gradient mountain range across the chest and on the right leg of the asymmetrical shorts but add light blue and black accents throughout.

In addition to the new uniforms, Utah’s logos will be updated to reflect the new color scheme, which blends the purple from their 1996-04 design with the light blue era of 2004-10. The team will also unveil new court designs ahead of next season.

The Jazz are scheduled to wear their new Statement Edition uniforms 20 times this season, including tonight’s game and Thursday night’s matchup with the Miami Heat, which also tips off at 9 p.m. ET at Delta Center.
