CPL’s Cavalry FC Release Home Kits Ahead of 2025 CONCACAF Champions Cup Opener

Defending Canadian Premier League champions Cavalry FC are heading into the new season with new threads that show off their provincial pride.

The Calgary-based club — who won their first North Star Cup last November with a 2-1 win over Hamilton’s Forge FC — unveiled their new home kits for 2025 on Friday, January 31, about a week ahead of their CONCACAF Champions Cup opened against Liga MX side Pumas UNAM on Thursday, February 6.

The kits, manufactured by Macron, maintain Cavalry’s traditional red base, but puts an Alberta twist on it with a tonal pattern of wild roses — the province’s official flower — all over the front and sleeves. It also includes a white sash of seven narrow stripes running diagonally across the front of the shirt.

The Alberta Wildrose Kit captures the natural beauty and essence of Alberta, while embracing the success and history of Cavalry. The kit features Cavalry’s iconic red with a seven-stripe sash, commemorating the seven years of achievements by the club. Alberta’s official flower, the wild rose, accents the kit, an ode to the province the club calls home.

The sleeves and V-neck collar are white with red and green stripes running through them. Sponsor logos on the chest and sleeves are one-colour white. The back of the shirt is solid red, with a green secondary logo under the numbers and a small white stripe under the collar. Between the collar and the white stripe is a gold legacy patch commemorating Cavalry FC’s 2024 league championship.

Cavalry’s CONCACAF Champions Cup opener will take place on Thursday, February 6, at Starlight Stadium in Langford, British Columbia — in warmer climes than their usual home pitch at Spruce Meadows in Calgary. The return leg will take place on Thursday, February 13, at Estadio Olímpico Universitario in Mexico City.

The 2025 Canadian Premier League regular season schedule has not yet been released.
