Super Bowl LIX between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will mark the 11th time the event has been held in New Orleans, tying it with the Miami metropolitan area for the most all time.
It will also be the eighth time at Caesars Superdome, previously known as the Louisiana Superdome and Mercedes-Benz Superdome, which is two more than any other venue (Hard Rock Stadium, 6).
New Orleans hosted its first three Super Bowls at Tulane Stadium, including IV in 1970, VI in 1972 and IX in 1975, which was originally scheduled to be played at the Superdome but construction was not finished in time.
The Superdome, meanwhile, hosted XII in 1978, XV in 1981, XX in 1986, XXIV in 1990, XXXI in 1997, XXXVI in 2002 and XLVII in 2013. With that said, let’s take a look at the logos that were used and the uniforms that were worn in each matchup.
