After playing almost the entire 2024-25 season with blank shirts, Premier League powerhouses Chelsea FC have secured a front-of-shirt sponsor for the remainder of the season.
The club announced on Wednesday, April 30, that they had entered into a “new, long-term global partnership” with Dubai-based luxury real estate and land development company DAMAC Properties. As part of the deal, the company’s logo will appear on the front of the jerseys for both Chelsea’s men’s and women’s teams for the remainder of the current season, starting with the first leg of the men’s UEFA Conference League semifinal against Swedish side Djurgården on Thursday, May 1.

Chelsea faced a similar sponsorship problem in 2023-24, finally announcing Infinite Athlete as their front-of-shirt sponsor about two months into the Premier League season. Prior to that, Irish telecom company Three had been their sponsor from 2020 to 2023, and Japanese tire company Yokohama for five seasons before that.
Along with the jersey sponsorship, DAMAC is planning to build a new, ultra-modern development in Dubai called Chelsea Residences, which the club calls “the first-of-its-kind football-themed branded residences. The new development will be built with Chelsea Football Club’s famous brand woven into the fabric, from its concierge service to its high-performance spaces. It will reflect the very best of Chelsea FC both in terms of high-end style, commitment to excellence and vision for the future.”
The development will have more than 1,400 residential units and will be located in Maritime City, along the Dubai coast. Each unit will have a view of the Persian Gulf and access to “exclusive Chelsea-branded amenities that place health, fitness and wellbeing at the heart of its offering.”
Aside from their Conference League matches, Chelsea has four games remaining in the current Premier League season. They’ll also compete in the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States this summer, though it’s not yet clear if the DAMAC sponsorship will extend into that tournament.
