Fans of the Northern Super League got long-awaited looks at the league’s last two away kits for the 2025 season this week.
After home kits were released in March and other away kits trickled in since, both Ottawa Rapid FC and Vancouver Rise FC unveiled their away kits before wearing them in recent matches.
Ottawa unveiled their kits on social media a few days before travelling to McMahon Stadium to take on Calgary Wild FC on Sunday, May 11. Details on the jersey design itself were scant, but the social media captions mention “No still waters here,” suggesting that the light blue and navy blue waves across the front and sleeves of the white shirt represent the Ottawa River or possibly the Rideau Canal, both of which flow through the city of Ottawa. A map of Ottawa sits in the jock tag position, while blue Hummel chevrons appear on the shoulders.

Against Calgary, Rapid FC’s away kits were paired with blue shorts and white socks.

Vancouver, meanwhile, debuted their new away kits on Monday, May 5, in a home match against Halifax Tides FC. Dubbed the “Moonlight Kit,” it features a black base with streaks down the front in Rise FC’s colours of pale green and yellow. The streaks break partway down the shirt to form a silhouette in the shape of the mountains from Rise FC’s crest.

The kits were paired with solid black shorts and socks.
Vancouver sits in second place in the NSL inaugural season standings, with seven points from four matches so far. Ottawa is in fourth place with four points from three matches. The two clubs square off against each other on Thursday, May 15, at TD Place in Ottawa.
