Indiana Pacers To Wear Gold Statement Uniforms For Rest Of 2025 NBA Playoffs

In advance of their Eastern Conference Finals matchup with the New York Knicks, the Indiana Pacers announced on Sunday they’ll wear their gold Statement Edition uniforms for the rest of the playoffs.

The uniforms, which were unveiled in 2019-20, are heavily influenced by Pacers’ 1990-97 set – affectionately known as the “Flo-Jo” uniforms – with an “Indiana” wordmark across the chest and thick blue diagonal stripes that wrap around the front and back of the asymmetrical jerseys and shorts.

There’s also a white side panel contained within the blue stripes that is filled with ray lines, which are symbolic of Indiana’s “We Grow Basketball Here” slogan that was introduced with its most recent uniform redesign ahead of the 2017-18 season

The Pacers notably wore their gold Statement Edition uniforms for all 17 games of last year’s playoffs and have switched between that design and their white City Edition uniforms – which feature a paint splatter pattern and cyan accents – this postseason.

Interestingly, Indiana has never worn its current white Association uniforms in the postseason (this being their fifth playoff appearance since they were unveiled) and has only worn its navy blue Icon Edition set once, breaking those out for a Game 2 loss at the Boston Celtics in the first round of the 2019 NBA Playoffs.

The Knicks, meanwhile, will counter with their white Association Edition uniforms in Games 1 and 2 at Madison Square Garden, then switch to their blue Icon Edition set for Games 3 and 4 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, according to NBA LockerVision.

Expect similar matchups if the series advances to five, six or seven games, as the Indianapolis Star‘s Dustin Dopira reported that teams have been directed by the league to wear their “core” uniforms in the conference finals and NBA Finals.

The Knicks could opt to wear their navy blue Statement Edition uniforms in one of those games, as well, but Dopira’s report means their white City Edition set – which features a stacked “New York” wordmark – is now officially retired and gives them one less option when the series tips off on Wednesday.
