Golden State Warriors’ 2025-26 City Edition Shorts Leak

The Golden State Warriors’ 2025-26 City Edition shorts leaked on social media this week, adding fuel to the rumour that every City Edition uniform for next season will be a recolour of a previous season’s design.

The cream-coloured shorts bring to mind the Warriors’ 2019-20 City Edition uniforms, which were already a recoloured version of their 2017-19 Statement set and paid tribute to Oakland, their home for 47 seasons before they returned to San Francisco in 2019-20.

Both of those black uniforms prominently display the stylized oak tree logo used by the City of Oakland on the chest beneath “The Town,” a phrase that dates back to the city’s incorporation in 1852.

The shorts, meanwhile, featured the same striping pattern and bridge cables that have been present on Golden State’s core uniform set since the franchise underwent a significant redesign in 2010-11

But instead of those elements being rendered in the Warriors’ familiar blue and/or gold colour scheme, the 2025-26 shorts incorporate brown and what appears to be a different shade of gold or tan.

Additionally, Golden State’s 2019-24 secondary logo can be seen on the waistband of the leaked shorts, confirming they’re simply a recolour of the 2019-20 City Edition set rather than a new design.

This will mark the fourth different version of “The Town” uniforms for the Warriors, who also wore a gold Earned Edition version in 2018-19 after reaching the playoffs the previous season.

That was also simply a recolour of the aforementioned 2017-19 Statement set, complete with Golden State’s 2014-19 secondary “W” logo on the waistband of the shorts

So far, the Detroit Pistons are the only team to unveil their 2025-26 City Edition uniforms, which recolour their 2021-22 design, but the Philadelphia 76ers’ shorts have also leaked and they suggest the trend could truly be league wide
