AC Milan Launches One Hell of a Home Kit — Plus Other New Kits from Top European Leagues

AC Milan is hoping for one hell of a good season in their new 2025-26 home kits, made by Puma.

Inspired by club founder Herbert Kilpin, who said in 1899 that he envisioned it as a “team of devils,” the Italian Serie A side has incorporated a tonal pattern of over its iconic red and black stripes. “Our colors will be red like flames and black to invoke fear in our opponents,” Kilpin is quoted as saying on the club’s website.

Along with the flames, AC Milan has also opted for a “fiery” version of their crest on the new home kit, rendered in only red and white.

The new home kit will make its debut on Saturday, May 24, when AC Milan takes on already-relegated AC Monza in their final match of the 2024-25 Serie A season.

ASTON VILLA – Away

English Premier League side Aston Villa pays tribute to a local landmark with their 2025-26 away kits, made by Adidas. The pattern of grey dots on the raglan sleeves of the black kit is inspired by the Bullring, a shopping area in the city of Birmingham that dates back to the 12th century. Trim on the collar and the Adidas shoulder stripes are light blue, as is a drop shadow on the lion in the club crest that’s otherwise rendered in only black and white.

🇪🇸 ATLÉTICO DE MADRID – Away

Spanish La Liga giants Atlético de Madrid hope to catch lightning in a bottle with their new away kits for 2025-26, made by Nike. Predominantly navy blue, the shirt features bright yellow lightning bolts down the sides. The club crest on the chest is rendered in the same shade of yellow, as are the Nike swoosh and sponsor logos.

🇩🇪 FC ST. PAULI – Home

German Bundesliga side FC St. Pauli are bringing a touch of nostalgia to the pitch with their 2025-26 home kits, made by Puma. Calling it “vintage without frills,” the kits feature brown and white vertical stripes — the first time the club’s home jerseys have had this motif since 2011-12 — and a solid brown panel on the back for names and numbers. The sleeve cuffs are brown while the crew neck collar is brown at the front and white at the back.

🇩🇪 BORUSSIA MÖNCHENGLADBACH – Home

Elsewhere in Germany, Borussia Mönchengladbach’s 2025-26 home kit, made by Puma, marks the club’s 125th anniversary with a modern take on a retro style. The kit combines an off-white base with black accents on the collar and sleeve cuffs — leaving Die Fohlen’s usual shade of bright green for their away kits — to “reflect the historical aesthetic of the club’s early years.” Like the away kit, special “125 JAHRE” embroidery appears under the crest on the front of the shirt, while a 125th anniversary logo is printed on the back collar.

🇮🇹 ACF FIORENTINA – Home

Italian Serie A side ACF Fiorentina takes inspiration from a team of the past for its 2025-26 home kits, made by Kappa. The new kit celebrates the 1999-2000 Fiorentina squad with white stripes running under the arms and down the sides of the purple base. The collar and sleeve cuffs are white, and short horizontal lines woven into the fabric of the jersey create subtle diagonal stripes.

🇮🇹 CAGLIARI CALCIO – Third

Fellow Serie A side Cagliari Calcio’s third jersey for 2025-26, made by Eye Sports, is ” a tribute to the forestry richness of Sardinia, the region with the largest forest extension in Italy.” Tonal holm oak leaves adorn the front of the light blue shirt, with navy blue and red pinstripes running overtop. Downy oak and cork oak leaves appear on the back of the shirt, with all three oak varieties symbolizing strength, longevity, stability and resilience. The crew neck collar and sleeve cuffs are navy blue and red, mirroring the pinstripes on the body of the shirt.

🇫🇷 RACING CLUB DE STRASBOURG ALSACE – Home

French Ligue 1 side RC Strasbourg pays tribute to the iconic Notre-Dame Cathedral in Strasbourg with their home kits for 2025-26, made by Adidas. “A majestic guardian of the city for centuries, it symbolizes the soul of an entire region and sits proudly at the heart of the club’s crest,” Strasbourg says on its website (translated to English by Google). The pattern from the cathedral’s famous rose window is embossed on the front of the blue shirt, which also features a white collar and sleeve cuffs with light blue striping through the middle. The Adidas shoulder stripes are white, while light blue piping runs across the collarbones and down the sides.

🇵🇹 SPORTING CLUBE DE PORTUGAL – Home

Fresh off their second straight Primeira Liga championship, Portuguese powerhouses Sporting CP are getting back to basics with their 2025-26 home kits, made by Nike. The kits — which the club appears to have released earlier than scheduled to thwart leaks and rumours, based on the language used on their website — feature Sporting’s traditional green and white hoops without any extraneous bells and whistles. A white panel on the back allows for name and number legibility. The collar is green, while the sleeve cuffs are white.
