New York Knicks’ 2025-26 City, Statement Edition Shorts Leak

After three seasons in their current navy blue design, the New York Knicks are set to reveal a new black Statement Edition uniform next season, according to a leak of the shorts on Instagram.

The shorts, which were posted by user @__2hands_shop__, feature an orange-to-royal blue gradient pattern down the sides, which are somewhat reminiscent of the lights that shine atop the Empire State Building against the night sky.

The shorts are complete with the Knicks’ primary logo on the left leg and their secondary ball logo on the waistband. The jersey, meanwhile, would presumably feature an orange “New York” wordmark and numbers outlined in white and the same striping pattern on the sides.

The Instagram user also posted a photo of the Knicks’ 2025-26 City Edition shorts, which are effectively the home version of their 2021-22 design that paid homage to Madison Square Garden, as most (if not all) teams are rumoured to be recoloring a previous City Edition uniform this season.

The white shorts feature royal blue checkered side panels that contain a visual representation of the arena, orange piping and a royal blue waistband that includes the Knicks’ primary logo and the franchise’s retired numbers.

Designed by Manhattan-based streetwear company KITH, the shorts also display a Nike “NYC” logo, just as every Knicks City Edition uniform has since 2020-21. The unreleased jersey, meanwhile, will likely carry over the checkered side panels and piping and include a blue “New York” wordmark outlined in orange with inverted numbers.

In addition to the Knicks, we’ve now seen City Edition leaks from the Dallas Mavericks, Detroit Pistons, Golden State Warriors, Indiana Pacers and Philadelphia 76ers, as well as Hardwood Classic leaks from the Mavericks, 76ers and Memphis Grizzlies.
