Real Madrid, Juventus Away Kits Highlight New Releases from Europe’s Top Soccer Leagues

The start of the 2025-26 season is still a couple of months away for Europe’s top flight soccer leagues, but it’s still been another busy week for kit releases. Some of the continent’s top clubs unveiled new looks that they’ll wear both at and away from their home stadiums.

Here’s a look at the jerseys released over the past few days:

🇪🇸 REAL MADRID – Away

Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid unveiled their 2025-26 away kits, made by Adidas, earlier this week and will debut them on the pitch in their FIFA Club World Cup match against RB Salzburg on Thursday, June 26, in Philadelphia. The dark blue kit is “inspired by the magical nights at the Bernabéu,” Real’s home stadium. The blue base evokes the sky at night matches, with silver details “inspired by the stadium’s exterior” and light green piping around the collar and down the front to reflect the colour of the pitch.

🇮🇹 JUVENTUS – Away

Another Adidas away kit made its debut at the Club World Cup when Italian Serie A titans Juventus defeated United Arab Emirates side Al Ain FC 5-0 in Washington, D.C. Juventus’ new kit is “inspired by the Italian summer,” with an aquamarine and blue graphic all over meant to evoke “Italy’s simmering coastal waters.” The yellow Adidas shoulder stripes are a shade of yellow reminiscent of “lemon trees and clear summer skies,” while the crew neck collar, sleeve cuffs and club crest are white. If you like what you see here, you’re in luck, as Juventus and Adidas announced this week they’ve extended their kit contract until 2037.

🇫🇷 OLYMPIQUE LYONNAIS – Away

OK, it’s not likely that one directly copied the other — or even knew what the other was doing — but it’s hard not to get new United States away kit vibes from Olympique Lyonnais’ 2025-26 away kit, made by Adidas. Like the U.S. kit, Lyon’s new jersey features alternating royal blue and red pinstripes on a navy blue base. The club says the kit “celebrates the architectural geometry of the Groupama Stadium, with its walkways lined with columns dressed in red and blue, as well as the neon lines illuminating the exit to the pitch.” The raglan sleeves are solid blue with white Adidas shoulder stripes, and red trim appears on the collar and sleeve cuffs.

🇪🇸 REAL BETIS – Home

It’s all in the details for Spanish La Liga side Real Betis’ 2025-26 home kits, made by Hummel. At first glance, the club’s traditional green-and-white vertical stripes have been enlarged, with just two green stripes on the front of the shirt. But, on closer inspection, each green stripe is filled with narrower, darker green stripes. The same stripe runs down each sleeve, and white Hummel chevrons run down green side panels. The back of the jersey has a green panel for name and number legibility.

🇪🇸 ATHLETIC BILBAO – Away

Fellow La Liga side Athletic Bilbao aims to embody the club’s bravery in blue with their 2025-26 away kit, made by Castore. “Bravery comes to the fore on the high seas, when storms rage and great waves threaten to sink the ship. This is when bravery becomes the ultimate virtue,” says the club, which has donned blue kits numerous times over its 125-year history. This particular kit combines a navy blue base with light blue accents on the shoulders, collar and sleeve cuffs.

🇫🇷 FC NANTES – Home

French Ligue 1 club FC Nantes are getting playful with tradition with their 2025-26 home kits, made by Macron. The club’s usual yellow home base is accented with dashed green vertical pinstripes, with the varying lengths inside each stripe illustrating “the links between eras, supporters, players, and jerseys that have followed one another for over 80 years in the FC Nantes family.” The collar and sleeve cuffs are green with yellow trim. Nantes will wear these jerseys with green shorts at home — the first time they’ve done so in 18 years.

🇫🇷 ANGERS SCO – Home

Angers SCO mark the 10th anniversary of their promotion to France’s top flight, Ligue 1, with their new home kits for 2025-26, made by Nike. The club’s traditional black-and-white vertical stripes remain, complimented by gold accents on the collarbones and sleeve cuffs that “highlight the Club’s institutional dimension and express Angers’ elegance.” The sleeves are solid black, as is the panel on the back for names and numbers.

🇫🇷 OLYMPIQUE DE MARSEILLE – Home and Away

French Ligue 1 side Olympique de Marseille gave their supporters a double dose of new Puma kits this week, releasing their 2025-26 home kit on Monday and their away kit on Tuesday. The home kit looks simple from afar, with a white base and light blue accents, but closer inspection reveals a pattern of 10 former club crests embedded in the white fabric. Meanwhile, like Bilbao, OM have also gone with a double-blue motif for their 2025-26 away kit. The navy blue base features “futuristic” light blue dots on the front that add up to a pulsating cross.

🇫🇷 RACING CLUB DE LENS – Home and Away

French Ligue 1 side RC Lens aims to balance history and modernity with their 2025-26 home and away kits, made by Puma. The home kit is inspired by what the club wore in the 1980s, with a yellow base and red pinstripes down the front accented by red side panels, sleeve cuffs and V-neck collar. The away kit, meanwhile, features the club’s original colours — green for the Place Verte, where students played the first soccer matches in Lens at the start of the 20th century, and black to honour the region’s coal mining heritage — with a geometric pattern echoing the shapes of the kiosk of Place Verte (now renamed Place de la République).

🇩🇪 TSG 1899 HOFFENHEIM – Third

German Bundesliga side TSG 1899 Hoffenheim say they’re ready to make a statement and start a new chapter in their 2025-26 third kit, made by Joma. The white base of the shirt is embossed with wavy lines, which “which not only add depth to the design, but also character – like the marks left by every effort on the pitch.” The front of the collar is navy blue, while the side and underarm feature tapering navy blue and “ice blue” panels.

🇵🇹 FC PORTO – Third

While visiting New York City for the FIFA Club World Cup, Portuguese Primeira Liga powerhouses FC Porto took the opportunity to unveil their 2025-26 third kits with the Big Apple in the background. Made by New Balance, the “elegant, minimalist and sophisticated” kits are almost entirely pearl white, with metallic blue embellishments “inspired by precious stones,” including the sponsor logos, manufacturer logo and club crest on the chest. Other accents include blue side panels, a blue chevron on the lower back and a pattern printed inside the collar.
