Following the lead of the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks, the Denver Nuggets also revealed on Friday they’re bringing back their 2019-20 City Edition uniforms as this season’s City Edition design.
The black uniforms feature a retro “Rainbow Skyline” across the chest with the player’s number above the skyline and “Nuggets” wordmark below. These details are inspired by their 1981-93 uniforms, though they’re rendered in Denver’s current font.
The rainbow design and a singular mountain peak are carried over to the side panels of the shorts, which also include a “Denver” wordmark on both sides. The uniforms are complete with their pickaxe and ball secondary logo on the waistband.
Interestingly, the black uniform was a recolored version of their 2018-19 City Edition design, which was white. They also wore a red version in 2020-21, though it flipped the wordmarks and displays “Denver” on the jerseys and “Nuggets” on the shorts.

This is notable as every team in the NBA is set to either revive or bring back a recolored version of a previous City Edition uniform this season, rather than roll out a new design as most teans have each season since 2017-18.
That said, the only difference between the 2019-20 and 2025-26 designs are the original featured a Western Union advertisement on the left shoulder – next to the contrasting collar – while this year’s will include an ibotta patch.
