It’s been seven long months since the confetti fell on the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, but football is finally back as they host the Dallas Cowboys in the season opener this evening, with kickoff set for 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.
With that, we’ve once again compiled a comprehensive list of every uniform, logo and field change that has taken place across the league this offseason. Our two-part preview began yesterday with the AFC and now wraps up with a look at the NFC.
We’ve also already discussed several changes that impact the league as a whole, including the NFL relaxing its uniform policy, unveiling the logo for Super Bowl LX and adding gold shields to the jerseys of award winners.
So, let’s dive head first into the team-by-team changes across the conference, including another in-depth look at the new Nike “Rivalries” uniforms that the four members of the NFC West revealed late last month.
NFC East
Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys’ will wear their “Arctic Cowboy” alternate uniforms at the New York Jets on Oct. 5 and against the Washington Commanders on Oct. 19. The look pairs their Color Rush jerseys and pants with their white alternate helmets.
Dallas will also wear its 1960s throwback uniforms – which feature white helmets, blue jerseys with stars on the shoulders and white pants – for the fourth straight Thanksgiving Day game when it hosts the Kansas City Chiefs on Nov. 27.

The Cowboys will then wear white helmets and pants with their navy blue jerseys for their Christmas Day matchup with the Commanders, who – as we’ll discuss below – will be wearing their Redskins-inspired throwback uniforms that afternoon.
That marks one of just three appearances for the standard navy blue jerseys this season, joining their Dec. 4 game at the Detroit Lions and Dec. 21 matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers. They’ll wear white jerseys in every other unmentioned game this season.
New York Giants

The Giants have scrapped their “Century Red” throwback uniforms, which celebrated their 100th season as a franchise last year, and will bring back their Color Rush uniforms for their Nov. 9 game at the Chicago Bears and Nov. 16 matchup with the Green Bay Packers.
Now referred to as their “Vintage White” uniforms, the look will once again feature the Giants’ navy blue shell rather than swap decals and facemask on their standard blue helmets, as they did from 2016-22. They first used navy blue helmets with this combination in 2023.

The navy blue helmets were reintroduced in 2022 as part of the Giants 1980-99 throwback uniforms, which include a royal blue jersey with a classic striping pattern on the collar and cuffs and white pants with red and blue stripes down the sides.
New York will wear the “Legacy” throwback uniforms on Nov. 2 against the San Francisco 49ers and Dec. 14 against the Washington Commanders. The team will also rebrand MetLife Stadium for those games to display a classic logo at midfield and a vintage end zone design.
Philadelphia Eagles

The defending Super Bowl champion Eagles will wear their Kelly green throwback uniforms three times this season, including Oct. 26 against the New York Giants, Nov. 23 at the Dallas Cowboys and in the regular season finale against the Washington Commanders (on a to-be-determined date).
The uniforms, which replicate the Randall Cunningham and Reggie White era with Kelly green helmets and jerseys and gray pants, have not been worn on the road since they were reintroduced in 2023. It’s not yet clear when they plan to wear their black alternate helmets and/or uniforms.

Washington Commanders

As mentioned, the Commanders unveiled Redskins-inspired throwback uniforms this summer that are nearly identical to their 1979-2019 road design and are considered a nod to their three Super Bowl victories (XVII, XXII and XXVI).
The uniforms feature burgundy helmets with their primary logo on the sides, gold facemask and classic striping pattern, white jerseys with burgundy numbers and burgundy and gold cuffs, burgundy pants with gold and white stripes down the sides and white socks with a burgundy and gold striping pattern.

Washington will debut the new throwback-inspired alternate uniforms during its Sunday Night Football matchup with the Seattle Seahawks on Nov. 2, then wear them against the Denver Broncos on Nov. 30 and Dallas Cowboys on Christmas Day.
They’ll also wear their all-black alternate uniforms, which were unveiled alongside their current branding in 2022, against the Chicago Bears on Oct. 13.

NFC North
Chicago Bears
Speaking of the Bears, they will wear a football-shaped patch on the left shoulder of their jerseys this season in honor of late owner Virginia Halas McCaskey, who passed away in February at the age of 102.

The patch is nearly identical to the design the franchise wore when it mourned the loss of her father, team founder George S. Halas, upon his death in 1983. It features her initials in navy blue on an orange football, with navy blue stitches and a white outline.
The Bears will also wear their standard navy blue helmets with their navy blue home or white road jerseys and corresponding white or navy blue pants in every game, shelving their orange alternate helmets and jerseys and 1936 throwback uniforms as tribute to the franchise’s matriarch.

Additionally, Chicago will also honor late Hall of Fame defensive tackle Steve McMichael, who died in April at the age of 67, by wearing a football-shaped helmet decal that features his No. 76, white laces and an orange outline.
The Bears wore a patch of the same design, albeit with the No. 51, after Hall of Fame linebacker Dick Butkus passed away in 2023. Like they did that season, they will also paint McMichael’s design along the sidelines at Soldier Field.
Detroit Lions

The Lions have not announced when they’ll wear their black alternate uniforms or if they’ll wear their 1950s throwback uniforms during their Thanksgiving Day matchup with the Green Bay Packers.
They have, however, tinkered with their uniform combinations this summer, wearing silver helmets, Honolulu blue jerseys and white pants in the preseason finale against the Houston Texans. Perhaps that’s a sign of things to come.
Green Bay Packers

The Packers unveiled 1923 throwback uniforms this summer that feature hand-painted “leather” helmets, navy blue jerseys with gold numbers and three thin stripes on the sleeves that mimic the pattern on their 1922-24 long sleeve sweaters, tan pants and navy blue socks.

They’ll debut the throwback uniforms against the Carolina Panthers on Nov. 2. Green Bay will also wear its white alternate helmets, which were introduced ahead of last season, against the Washington Commanders on Sept. 11, pairing them with its all-white Color Rush uniforms.
Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings will wear their “Purple People Eater” throwback uniforms twice this season, including their home opener against the Atlanta Falcons on Sept. 14 and Week 18 matchup with the Green Bay Packers, as well as their “Winter Warrior” alternate uniforms when they host the Detroit Lions on Christmas Day.

The throwback uniforms feature a deeper purple hue than their standard uniforms, gold-trimmed block numbers and a classic striping pattern on the purple jerseys and white pants, while the all-white “Winter Warrior” design features purple numbers with a metallic silver stroke and icicles hanging from the digits and metallic silver and purple stripes on the jerseys and pants.
Minnesota will also wear a helmet decal this season in honor of late defensive end and 14-time team captain Jim Marshall, who passed away on June 3 at the age of 87. The white circular decal features his signature on top of a purple No. 70.

NFC South
Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons are celebrating their 60th season this fall with a commemorative logo, though it will not appear on their uniforms. They’ll also wear their 1966 throwback uniforms in three games this season, including Oct. 13 against the Buffalo Bills, Dec. 11 at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dec. 29 against the Los Angeles Rams.

The games against the Bills and Buccaneers are especially notable, as the former will wear its “Standing Buffalo” throwback uniforms and the latter will wear the home version of its creamsicle throwback uniforms in those matchups. That also means the game against Tampa Bay will feature color vs color and mark the first time that Atlanta will wear its throwback uniforms on the road.
Carolina Panthers

The Panthers’ uniform schedule shows they’ll wear their black home jerseys against the New Orleans Saints on Nov. 9, Los Angeles Rams on Nov. 30, Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Dec. 21 and Seattle Seahawks in Week 17, though it’s unclear what helmet and pants combination will complete the look.
The same goes for their games against the Atlanta Falcons on Sept. 21, Dallas Cowboys on Oct. 12 and Buffalo Bills on Oct. 26, when they’re scheduled to wear Process blue jerseys. They’ll wear white jerseys in every other game this season, though it’s worth noting they could be paired with their black alternate helmets for the first time.
New Orleans Saints

The Saints unveiled new gold alternate jerseys this summer that will be paired with their black alternate helmets and black pants, marking just the second time in franchise history they’ll wear gold jerseys, joining a 32-31 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in 2002.
The new gold jerseys, which will debut in the season opener against the Arizona Cardinals on Sept. 7, replace the 1967-68 throwback uniforms in the Saints wardrobe. They’ve worn those uniforms, which feature old gold numbers and pants, at least once every season since 2022.

New Orleans also introduced a new white alternate helmet, which features a predominately gold primary logo on the sides, a black and gold striping pattern down the center and a metallic gold facemask. The stripes also include a sublimated fleur-de-lis pattern.
The white alternate helmets will be worn with the Saints’ Color Rush uniforms, though it’s not yet clear when the new lids will debut. New Orleans is now the 17th team in the NFL with a white helmet in its closet, which is more than half the league.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers had quite the offseason, which started with them unveiling a commemorative logo that celebrates their 50th season as a franchise. There are four different versions of the logo, as two feature their current logo and two feature their throwback logo, while all four match the design of their corresponding uniform.
With that said, Tampa Bay unveiled the road version of their creamsicle throwback uniforms this summer. They feature fluorescent orange numbers outlined in red, matching what the Buccaneers wore during their inaugural season in 1976, as well as fluorescent orange and red stripes on the sleeves/cuffs.

They’ll be paired with the same white helmets and pants that Tampa Bay wears with the home version of its creamsicle throwback uniforms, replicating what the Buccaneers wore in every regular season game in 1976, as the creamsicle jerseys were limited to the preseason.
Tampa Bay will also wear home version, which includes a fluorescent orange jersey with red and white trim, during its Thursday Night Football matchup with the Atlanta Falcons on Dec. 11. The Buccaneers are 0-2 in the design since it returned in 2023.

The road version, meanwhile, will make its debut during the Buccaneers’ home opener against the New York Jets on Sept. 21. They’ll also be worn against the Seattle Seahawks on Oct. 5, as the Seahawks are celebrating their 50th season this fall, as well, and will wear their 1990s-era throwback uniforms that afternoon.
Lastly, Tampa Bay wore noticeably smaller helmet decals in the preseason opener against the Tennessee Titans, which were more reminiscent of what the Buccaneers wore from 1997-2013 rather than the large flag that was introduced with their redesign in 2014 and subsequently reduced by 10 percent when they unveiled their current uniforms in 2020.

It was reportedly a “one-game trail” and the Buccaneers returned to wearing their standard helmet decals for the rest of the preseason. There was also speculation that Tampa Bay made changes to the paint and/or finish of its pewter helmets, but our sources said that was simply a combination of lighting, overcast/rainy skies, grainy photos/video and the smaller decals that gave of that appearance.
NFC West
Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals unveiled new sand-colored “Rivalries” uniforms that feature a texture pattern on the helmets, jerseys and pants that are reminiscent of Oregon’s speckled eggshell uniforms, as well as a new logo based on the state flag and outline on the sleeves.
Both the helmet and the back of the jersey display a modified version of Arizona’s primary logo, taking its cues from the Pyrrhuloxia (or desert cardinal) with a copper beak. The new accent color can also be seen in the numbers, sleeve patches and stripes on the sides of the pants.

The Cardinals will debut the uniforms, which will remain in their rotation for the next three seasons, against the Seattle Seahawks on Sept. 25. They’ll also wear their black alternate uniforms against the Tennessee Titans on Oct. 5 and San Francisco 49ers on Nov. 16.
Los Angeles Rams

The Rams revealed dark navy blue (almost black) “Rivalries” uniforms that have seemingly been in the works since they unveiled their current uniform design in 2020 and subsequently shared their desire to drop a new alternate each season, though that never came to fruition.
The “Midnight Mode” uniforms, which will debut against the Seahawks on Nov. 16, feature with sol (yellow) horns on the shoulders and a royal blue sleeve cap with a gradient design. There are also white numbers outlined in blue, as well as royal blue and sol stripes down the sides of the pants.

Los Angeles also announced it will wear its bone-colored alternate uniforms three times this season, including road games at the Tennessee Titans on Sept. 14, Baltimore Ravens on Oct. 12 and Atlanta Falcons for their Monday Night Football matchup on Dec. 29.
San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers’ “Rivalries” design reintroduced black to their rotation after wearing black Color Rush uniforms from 2015-17, though this time, it will be paired with a new black helmet that features San Francisco’s primary logo on the sides, two red stripes down the center and a gold facemask.

The uniforms, which will debut against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 18, display a gold “Faithful” wordmark – which was part of their refreshed brand identity that debuted this summer – across the chest above Saloon-style drop-shadow numbers, as well as a traditional red striping pattern on the sleeves and down the sides of the pants.

Meanwhile, San Francisco will wear the home version of its 1944 throwback uniforms against the Atlanta Falcons on Oct. 19 and Chicago Bears on Dec. 28, as well as the road version against the Arizona Cardinals on Sept. 21.
Seattle Seahawks

And finally, the Seahawks’ new “Rivalries” uniforms are without a doubt the most unique design of the bunch, with Wolf gray jerseys that include a sound wave effect on the shoulders and down the sides of the pants as a nod to the decibel level of the fans at Lumen Field.

The iridescent green helmet, numbers and sound wave effect are also a tribute to the “Emerald City” and reflect differently based on how the lights hit them, while the numbers feature a sublimated “12” pattern rather than their usual totem-style design.
Seattle will debut the uniforms against the Los Angeles Rams on Nov. 16. The Seahawks will also wear their 1990s-era throwback uniforms three times this season, including the aforementioned game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Oct. 5, at the Washington Commanders on Nov. 2 and against the Minnesota Vikings on Nov. 30.

The games against the Buccaneers and Commanders will notably feature both teams in their throwback designs. That leaves just one game for Seattle to wear its Action green Color Rush uniforms, as the franchise has scrapped its Wolf gray alternate jerseys to comply with NFL rules on the number jerseys teams can have (four plus “Rivalries”).
Also, as mentioned, the Seahawks are celebrating their 50th season this fall and have unveiled a commemorative logo as a result. It will be worn as a patch on the left shoulder of their home navy blue, white road and Action green alternate jerseys.

As for our report that Seattle would unveil a road version of its 1990s-era throwback uniforms this summer, we were recently told by our sources – which correctly shared with us all of the news we broke this offseason – that they were delayed for at least one season, so stay tuned for more in that regard.
