The University of Minnesota Golden Gophers are expanding their partnership with hockey equipment company CCM, and with that comes new jerseys for the men’s and women’s hockey teams made by the manufacturer.
The Golden Gophers announced on Wednesday, September 10, that their long-standing equipment deal with CCM had now expanded to include jerseys, practice jerseys and socks starting with the 2025-26 season. Coinciding with the announcement was the unveiling of six new sweaters for both the men’s and women’s teams.
“We are excited to strengthen our partnership with CCM with our new jersey agreement,” said University of Minnesota Deputy Athletics Director Tom McGinnis on the Gophers’ website. “We appreciate their support of the tradition of our men’s and women’s hockey programs and look to build upon this partnership as we move forward.”
“CCM is proud to elevate our partnership with an outstanding hockey organization like the University of Minnesota,” added CCM Vice President of Marketing Robert Zaring. “We’re committed to supporting these exceptional athletes in their hockey careers by providing them with top-tier equipment and uniforms. We’re excited about what the future holds for this continued collaboration with the Minnesota Golden Gophers.”
The men’s jerseys include white, maroon and gold versions. Both the white and maroon jerseys have the school’s classic M logo on the front, while the gold version has a cartoon gopher logo. All three have shoulder yokes with outlines, along with stripes of roughly equal width around the waist and sleeves and an outline of Minnesota at the front of the collar.

The women’s jerseys, meanwhile, are slightly different. None have the Minnesota state outline on the front collar insert, and all three have different striping patterns than their men’s counterparts. The maroon jersey has no white on it whatsoever, with outlines only in maroon and gold.

All six sets of socks match their respective jersey’s striping pattern. All the women’s jerseys are paired with maroon pants with two gold stripes down the sides, while all the men’s jerseys are paired with solid maroon pants. All six jerseys were pictured in the announcement paired with gold helmets.
Both teams’ jerseys were previously supplied by Nike.
The university will sell replica versions of all three men’s jerseys through their online fan shop, and a “limited inventory” of authentic jerseys will be available online and at 3M Arena at Mariucci later this fall. Replica versions of the white women’s jersey will be sold on gamedays at Ridder Arena.
The Golden Gophers women’s team begins their 2025-26 by hosting Boston College for a pair of games on Thursday, September 25, and Friday, September 26. The men start their season the following weekend when they host Michigan Tech for two games.
