San Jose Sharks Reveal Throwback Uniform for 35th Anniversary Season

The San Jose Sharks are turning the clock back to their second era of teal this season, unveiling a late 90s/early 00s throwback uniform to celebrate the team’s 35th anniversary season. San Jose originally introduced this style as their first-ever third uniform during the 1997-98 season before making it their full-time set from 1998 through 2007.

“We have a rich history of game-changing players and trendsetting jerseys,” said Sharks Chief Marketing Officer Doug Bentz in the press release. “While we continue to see growth in new fans attracted by our young core and community engagement, it’s important to connect the foundation of our past with our bright future. Heritage 2.0 isn’t just a jersey, it’s a symbol of the era that made us who we are, on and off the ice.”
