2025 MLB Postseason: Strauss Logo Added to All Batting Helmets

What’s the “Strauss” logo on baseball helmets this Postseason?

It’s all part of Major League Baseball’s multi-year partnership with German workwear company Strauss, which is entering its second year in 2025. The deal, first announced last fall, places the Strauss logo on both sides of every team’s batting helmet for all MLB Postseason and World Series games from 2024 through to the end of 2027. The agreement also covers all MLB regular-season games played in Europe and, beginning earlier this year, all Minor League Baseball games, including MiLB regular season and Postseason Games, through 2027.

The Strauss mark appears in two different treatments depending on the helmet colour. Red helmets feature a transparent ostrich inside a white box, while all other helmet colours have a white ostrich inside a red box. In both cases, the STRAUSS wordmark sits to the right of the bird in white lettering.

Placement is standardized: decals are applied parallel to the visor, centred, and as far back in the ridge as possible, from where the shell curves at the rim. If a helmet has vents, the decal sits below the vents, following the ridge at a slight angle. Each helmet logo measures 5.0″ wide by 0.92″ tall (12.7 cm x 2.3 cm).

“We know that fans of America’s pastime are loyal, dedicated, and value a job well done — just like the Strauss fans around the world who love our family’s iconic ostrich logo. We are proud to be the first brand featured on MLB batting helmets in the U.S.,” said Henning Strauss, CEO at the time of the announcement in 2024. “We are excited to join the baseball tradition and help the American pastime grow back home in Europe.”

MLB began allowing uniform advertising in 2023 following the most recent CBA with the MLBPA. While we’ve seen helmet decals before, overseas regular-season games often included ads, and players wore a large Red Cross decal for games following Hurricane Katrina in 2005, this Strauss program represents MLB’s first league-wide Postseason helmet partner.

“We are proud that Strauss selected Major League Baseball and Minor League Baseball as the marketing platform to introduce its brand to the U.S. market,” said Noah Garden, MLB Deputy Commissioner, Business & Media, last year. “The fact that our two organizations have so much in common — generational legacy, teamwork, dedication to a craft, celebrating a job well done — is a key to what made this partnership so compelling, and we’re looking forward to working together for years to come.”
