The Moncton Wildcats roared into their 30th anniversary season over the weekend in new jerseys inspired by the flag of their home province.
The Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League team based in New Brunswick’s largest city debuted the new duds on Sunday, October 5, during a matchup against the Halifax Mooseheads that was part of their home opening weekend.
The colour scheme and design elements of the jerseys are inspired by the flag of New Brunswick. The base is blue, with the Wildcats’ primary logo on the front and two yellow stripes and one red stripe, all of equal width, around the sleeves. A red panel runs around the waist, with the yellow lion from the top of the provincial flag inside on both the front and back.

The collar is red, as is the Under Armour logo panel on the back collar. The jersey is paired with blue pants, helmets and gloves, as well as blue socks with the same stripes as the sleeves. Numbers on the sleeves and back are white with red outlines, while names on the back are white.
The shoulders of the jersey feature the Wildcats’ 30th anniversary logo, which was unveiled in early August. That logo includes three Gilles-Courteau Trophy silhouettes, denoting the team’s QMJHL titles in 2006, 2010 and 2025.

The Wildcats have not indicated when they’ll wear the flag-inspired jerseys again or how many times they’ll wear them over the course of the 2025-26 regular season. Their next game is Friday, October 10, against the Rimouski Oceanic.
