The Ontario Hockey League’s Brampton Steelheads are ready to shoot the lights out in their new alternate jerseys.
The team unveiled their new “Blackout” third jerseys on their social media channels earlier this week (continuing a troubling recent trend of poorly lit launch videos) and will wear them for Saturday home games throughout the rest of the 2025-26 OHL season.
Like the Steelheads’ regular jerseys, the new third jerseys follow a fairly simple template, with two blue stripes around the sleeves and one broad stripe around the waist of the black base. The front of the jersey features a large blue “B” with a white outline.
The collar of the jersey is blue, with a blue Under Armour logo on a black insert at the front. The UA logo also appears in a blue panel on the back shoulders. The trout from the Steelheads’ primary logo appears by itself on each shoulder.
The Steelheads will wear the Blackout jerseys for the first time on Saturday, October 25, when they host the North Bay Battalion at the CAA Centre in Brampton. That’s the first of eight total games they’ll wear the jerseys this season.
