The Cincinnati Bengals will wear their “White Bengal” alternate uniforms during their upcoming Thursday Night Football matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers, which kicks off at 8:20 p.m. ET on Amazon Prime.
The Bengals introduced their white alternate helmets in 2022, though NFL rules at the time initially forced them to pair the lids with their all-white Color Rush uniforms in wins over the Miami Dolphins and Steelers.
The Color Rush uniforms matched their 2004-20 design, so Cincinnati successfully petitioned the league to wear its standard road uniforms – which feature a simplified striping pattern – with the white helmets in 2023.

The Bengals went 2-0 in the combination that season, including wins over the Los Angeles Rams and Jacksonville Jaguars, before suffering their first loss to the Philadelphia Eagles last year. That was the white helmet’s lone appearance in 2024.
The Bengals already wore their all-orange uniforms in the home-opening win over the Jaguars on Sept. 14, which leaves two potential games for their white helmets and/or orange jerseys to return later this season.
In addition to the all-white uniforms, Cincinnati will once again white out the midfield logo and end zone design at Paycor Stadium for the game against the Steelers, just as they did against the Dolphins, Rams and Eagles.
Meanwhile, Pittsburgh will wear its standard home uniform of black helmets, black jerseys and gold pants on Thursday. It will mark the first game since 1981 that the Steelers will wear their black jerseys in Cincinnati, where they are 1-4 all time in such contests.
