Fans of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in Australia’s National Rugby League are not impressed with the club’s new logo, and they’re letting the team know it.
The Bulldogs unveiled the new logo on the their social media channels on Thursday, October 16. It was quickly met with negative reviews, with some calling it “woeful,” “embarrassing” and “a step back.”

“The logo looks like Paw Patrol from Temu,” one supporter told News.com.au. “Let’s just hope the team plays with the same ‘grit’ and ’determination’ represented in the new logo, as per the club’s announcement.”
“I’ve double-checked today’s date and it’s not 1st April. WTAF is that?” another posted on Twitter. “Where was the engagement with the members?”
Some fans even felt they could produce similar results using generative AI software.
Bulldogs players and management had more favourable reactions to the logo, though.
“Yeah, it means a lot, the new logo. It shows grit and determination … facing our challenges head on. It was a challenging year, this year with everything that we went through,” captain Stephen Crichton told News.com.au. “The new logo shows to all of our fans and other teams and other clubs out there that we are not going to back down.”
“This new emblem is more than just a logo – it reflects who we are, where we’ve come from, and where we’re going. It carries forward the fighting spirit that has defined this Club since 1935, while facing the future head-on with confidence and pride,” added Bulldogs chief executive officer Aaron Warburton in a press release.

The new Bulldogs logo will be officially adopted as of November 1. A schedule for the 2026 season has not yet been announced, but the NRL typically starts up in early March and wraps up with the Grand Final in early October.
