The Professional Women’s Hockey League’s two newest franchises still don’t have nicknames, but they do have jerseys.
The Vancouver and Seattle franchises launched their inaugural season jerseys on Tuesday, October 21. Both team’s home and away sweaters feature their city name diagonally across the front in a block font, just like the league’s six original franchises wore in its first season in 2024.
According to the PWHL’s press release, both teams will have a team name and a logo in time for the start of the regular season on Friday, November 21, and those will be incorporated into the uniforms for the 2026-27 season.

“As we welcome Seattle and Vancouver to the league, we wanted their jerseys to prominently feature each city’s name across the front, allowing fans to immediately identify with their hometown’s newest professional team. These designs also connect our expansion teams to the league’s foundation while they continue building their own traditions and ties to the community.”

In Vancouver, “earthy bronze” has been added to the previously announced Pacific Blue and cream colour scheme. The cream road jersey has a blue collar and shoulders, a bronze panel bordered in blue at the waist, and blue stripes bordered in bronze on the sleeves. “VANCOUVER” is blue with a bronze outline, as are the numbers on the sleeves and back. On the blue home jersey, the blue striping elements switch to bronze and the bronze elements become cream. The front lettering and numbers are cream with a bronze outline.

The PWHL logo appears on the right shoulder of both teams’ jerseys. As with other Canadian PWHL teams, the Canadian Tire logo sits on the left shoulder of Vancouver’s sweaters.
A little further south in Seattle, light “river blue” accents the previously announced dark green and cream colour palette. The green home jersey has broad cream stripes on the sleeves, with narrower green and blue stripes below. That pattern repeats at the waist, except with the narrower stripes on top of the crean panel. “SEATTLE” on the front and numbers on the sleeves and back are cream with a blue outline.
The cream road jersey adds a contrasting green shoulder yoke and swaps cream for green in the waist and sleeve stripes while the blue stays put. “SEATTLE” and the numbers are green with a blue outline.

Both dark-coloured home jerseys are available with customization options for fans to buy through both the PWHL’s American and Canadian online shops.
The new jerseys will be on full display on Friday, November 21, when Seattle and Vancouver face off to open the 2025-26 PWHL season at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver.
