The Austrian Football Association (Österreichischer Fußball-Bund; ÖFB) is moving into a new headquarters, and they’re marking the occasion with a new logo.
The ÖFB — which oversees soccer in Austria, including the country’s national teams — unveiled the new logo earlier this week, a futuristic mark that coincides with the move into the new campus in Vienna, the nation’s capital. It features the letters “ÖFB” in red, with vertical bars missing from the F and the B and the O squashed vertically to keep the line representing the umlaut aligned with the other letterform arms. The year of the association’s founding, 1904, appears in black in the middle of the logo, under the F.

“With our new logo, we as the ÖFB are sending a clear signal of solidarity, renewal, and the future. This logo and the associated visual language reflect our values and our identity – they combine tradition with innovation and make visible what the ÖFB stands for. Under the guiding principle ‘A Team for All,’ we demonstrate that football in Austria is much more than a sport. It thrives on our community, on the commitment and enthusiasm of everyone – from the youth players to the 2,000 clubs to our national teams. Our new logo is an expression of our commitment to uniting the people of our country and to act with positive power and energy for the benefit of society.”

The logo was designed in collaboration with FLY’ (Creative Consultancy of the Demner.Group) and DMB.Brand (Demner, Merlicek & Bergmann / DMB.).
“It emphasizes core values such as team spirit, solidarity, and shared emotions, which can be experienced authentically and powerfully in football,” the association said in a press release (translated to English by Google). “The centerpiece of the new corporate identity is a modernized ÖFB logo that unites the tradition of Austrian football and the red-white-red identity, as well as a manifesto film produced jointly with PPM, which will also be publicly presented during the national team’s November international matches. The music, specially composed by Walter Werzowa, illustrates the emotional power of football.”

The ÖFB’s announcement didn’t mention if the institutional logo change would affect the Austrian national team crest.

While the ÖFB has moved into the new campus, its official opening ceremony won’t happen until early 2026, when the building is fully operational.
