The Denver Broncos will put their unbeaten record in their “Orange Crush” throwback uniforms on the line when they host the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday Night Football, which kicks off at 8:15 p.m. ET on Amazon Prime.
The Broncos reintroduced the 1977-inspired uniforms in 2024 alongside a full redesign of their home orange, white road and navy blue alternate jerseys and pants, as well as their navy blue and white alternate helmets.
They feature royal blue helmets with Denver’s iconic “D” logo in its original colors, orange jerseys with a traditional striping pattern on the sleeves, white pants with orange and blue stripes down the sides and matching socks.
The Broncos went 2-0 in the throwback uniforms last season, including wins over the Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs. Prior to that, the last time they were worn was a win over the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day in 2001.
This marks the second of three appearances for the uniforms this season, joining Denver’s 44-24 win over the Cowboys on Oct. 26 and the regular-season finale against the Los Angeles Chargers on Jan. 3 or 4.
Tonight’s game will also feature the same throwback-inspired field design at Empower Field at Mile High as last month’s win over the Cowboys, including the “D” logo at midfield and in the orange end zones alongside a vintage “Broncos” wordmark.
That said, the Broncos are not expected to wear their white alternate helmets this season after wearing their blue alternate jerseys with blue helmets and pants in a 28-3 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football on Sept. 29.
That coupled with the three throwback appearances maxed out the number of times teams are permitted to wear an alternate or throwback design each season, though they could certainly receive a waiver from the league to go beyond that.
