Toronto Raptors’ New City Edition Uniforms Include Subtle Nod To 2018-19 NBA Champions

The Toronto Raptors on Monday officially unveiled their 2025-26 City Edition uniforms, which – as expected – are a recolored version of their 2021-22 City Edition design that honored the 2018-19 NBA champions.

The black uniforms feature a jagged silver pinstripe pattern on the jerseys and pants, as well as a white “Toronto” wordmark and matching trim. There are also red numbers next to the dinosaur from their 1995-99 uniforms, though he’s flipped from his original orientation.

The white dinosaur is outfitted in the Raptors’ red 2018-19 Earned Edition uniform, which they wore when they captured their first and only NBA title with a 4-2 series victory over the Golden State Warriors. It also appropriately displays the No. 19 on his jersey.

Their 2021-22 City Edition uniforms, meanwhile, were gold and black and featured the dinosaur in their matching 2017-18 City set. Both versions included an arched “North” wordmark contained within in a contrasting chevron on the chest and their claw-scratch logo on the shorts.

The uniforms are complete with the Canadian maple leaf on the waistband, as well as the claw-scratch logo on the right leg of the asymmetrical shorts, which feature a stylized “TR” within jagged piping that mimics the left leg of their original shorts design.

“This is not a jersey, it’s a love letter to a fan base that will proudly stand on the outside looking within,” the Raptors said of the uniforms, which will be worn eight times this season and make their on-court debut against the Charlotte Hornets on Nov. 17.

Other appearances include games against the Boston Celtics on Dec. 7, Atlanta Hawks on Jan. 3, Philadelphia 76ers on Jan. 12, Chicago Bulls on Feb 5, San Antonio Spurs on Feb. 25, New Orleans Pelicans on March 27 and Miami Heat on April 9.

It’s unclear if the Raptors plan to unveil a matching court design or if they’ll simply use their standard hardwood design, which features the claw-scratch logo at midcourt with red and black accents. The 2021-22 court had a similar design with gold accents, meanwhile.
