ECHL’s Cincinnati Cyclones Serve Up Another Jersey Collaboration With Skyline Chili

When it comes to jersey collaborations, the Cincinnati Cyclones and Skyline Chili are going back for seconds.

The ECHL affiliate of the AHL’s Toronto Marlies and the NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs are once again teaming up with the iconic local restaurant to temporarily rebrand as the Cincinnati 3-Ways for their game against the Kalamazoo Wings on Saturday, February 28.

The 3-Ways logo and jerseys were unveiled on the Cyclones’ social media channels on Wednesday, December 17, and the team began taking pre-orders from fans for replica jerseys and merchandise featuring the logo.

At Skyline Chili, “3-Way” refers to their signature dish of spaghetti covered in their “secret-recipe chili and topped with a mound of cheddar cheese” (pictured below). Therefore, the 3-Ways’ logo features a snarling anthropomorphic pile of chili and cheese nicknamed “Shredder” with spaghetti hair flowing behind him as he skates with a fork in his hands.

The top half of Shredder appears on the front of the 3-Ways’ navy blue jerseys, behind a script “3-Ways” wordmark. Off-white, brown and orange stripes — representing the elements of a 3-Way in the order they’re put on the plate — run around the waist and the sleeve cuffs, with a narrow bright reddish-orange stripe overtop. The Cyclones’ primary logo sits on the left shoulder, while an alternate 3-Ways logo appears on the right shoulder. The Skyline Chili logo appears in white on the right chest.

The jersey graphics shared by the Cyclones on social media show the names and numbers on the back and sleeves in cheddar cheese orange with no outlines.

The Cyclones previously collaborated with Skyline Chili in March 2022 to rebrand as the Cincinnati Coneys for one night. The name and logo paid tribute to the restaurant’s famous Coney hot dogs.

Merchandise featuring the 3-Ways logo include hoodies, replica jerseys, puck and T-shirts with both the Shredder logo and the secondary shoulder patch logo. Game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off online following the February 28 game.
