The Indianapolis Colts will wear their “Indiana Nights” alternate uniforms for the first and only time this season when they host the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football, with kickoff set for 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN.
The uniforms feature “Anvil” black helmets with the Colts’ iconic horseshoe logo on the sides, heather blue jerseys with two stripes that run horizontally across the shoulders and their secondary “C” logo on the left chest, as well as matching heather blue pants.
The black helmets are a significant departure from Indianapolis’ classic look, as the franchise has almost exclusively worn white helmets since the 1956 season – aside from one game in 2010 when the Colts wore navy blue helmets with their 1955 throwback uniforms.
Indianapolis is 0-2 in the uniforms since they debuted, including losses to the Cleveland Browns in 2023 and Detroit Lions in 2024. There’s a slight change to the design this season, though, as the Colts will wear a patch in honor of late owner Jim Irsay, who passed away in March.
This will be the first time the uniforms will be worn at night, as the games against the Browns and Lions kicked off at 1 p.m. ET, though that ultimately doesn’t matter since the retractable roof at Lucas Oil Stadium will be closed for the game.
