Pro Curling League Ready to Rock With Unveiling of Team Names, Badges

The world’s first professional curling league is ready to rock next spring with the launch of team names and logos for its first six franchises based around the globe.

Rock League will kick off its first-ever season in April 2026 at TMU Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto. It will feature some of the world’s best curlers battling it out for bragging rights and prize money.

Last week, the league unveiled the names and badges of the six teams that will take part in the first two seasons:

Each Rock League team consists of five men and five women; at least 60% of team members must be from the region it represents. Each team has a captain and a general manager.

Teams will play each pther in four-player men’s, women’s and mixed matches, as well as in mixed doubles.

The creation of Rock League was first announced in April 2025. The league is owned and operated by The Curling Group, which also owns the Grand Slam of Curling.

“Rock League is a reflection of The Curling Group’s vision to professionalize and evolve the sport of curling, uniting fans and athletes from around the world. We’re building a global stage where elite play and passion for the sport collide.

The 2026 season in Toronto will be a “condensed preview season” taking place from April 6 to 12. The first four days will feature a full round-robin schedule, with each franchise facing another franchise in men’s, women’s and mixed doubles. The franchise that wins at least two of those three matches wins the “game” and earns points in the standings.

On the final day of preliminary play, franchises will field two mixed four-person teams and play each other, with winners getting more points in the standings. The top four franchises in the standings at the end of the day will advance to the semifinals on Saturday, April 11. The third-place and championship games will take place on Sunday, April 12.

Rock League’s first full season will take place in 2027, with week-long regular season events throughout January and February in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan; Halifax, Nova Scotia; Utica, New York; and Ottawa, Ontario. The playoffs and championship will be held in April in a yet-to-be-determined location.
