2025-26 College Football Playoff Semifinal/Fiesta Bowl Uniform Preview

The first of two College Football Playoff semifinal games kicks off on Thursday evening with the Fiesta Bowl between sixth-seeded Ole Miss and 10-seeded Miami at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona (7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN).

The Hurricanes will once again be outfitted in their all-white road uniforms, which they wore in their 10-3 win at Texas A&M in the first round of the playoff and their 24-14 victory over Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl. They’re 4-0 in the combination this season, while they’re 1-0 in green pants and 0-1 in orange pants on the road this year.

The Rebels, meanwhile, will wear their third different uniform design of the postseason, with powder blue helmets and jerseys over white pants after wearing navy blue helmets and jerseys over gray pants in their 41-10 first-round win over Tulane and all-white – including their Realtree camouflage helmets – in their 39-34 Sugar Bowl victory over Georgia.

This marks just the fourth all-time meeting between Miami and Ole Miss, though this is their first postseason matchup and first game outside of South Florida. The Rebels hold a slight 2-1 edge in the series with wins in 1936 and 1940, while the Hurricanes won the last meeting in 1951.

Ole Miss has never played in the Fiesta Bowl, while Miami is making its fifth trip to the Valley of the Sun, though they’re 0-4, including losses to UCLA in 1984-85, Penn State in 1986-87, Arizona in 1993-94 and Ohio State in the 2002-03 BCS National Championship Game, which ended their 34-game winning streak.

As for Thursday’s field design, it features the Fiesta Bowl logo at the 50-yard line of State Farm Stadium, home of the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals, with a Vrbo advertisement and a College Football Playoff semifinal wordmark at the 25-yard lines.

The Hurricanes’ end zone is green with an orange “Miami” wordmark outlined in white, while the Rebels’ end zone is navy blue with a red “Ole Miss” wordmark outlined in white. Both end zones also have the College Football Playoff logo to the left of the wordmark, sitting on opposite corners of the field.

That said, make sure to check back on Friday for a preview of the other College Football Playoff semifinal matchup, which pits top-seeded Indiana against fifth-seeded Oregon in the Peach Bowl at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, guaranteeing the Big Ten will have a shot at its third-straight national title (Michigan in 2023 and Ohio State in 2024).
