The Arizona State men’s and women’s basketball teams unveiled new alternate uniforms this week that display Los Angeles Clippers guard James Harden’s personal logo and are inspired by the design he wore with the Sun Devils from 2007-09.
The black uniforms feature predominantly gold numbers that are sandwiched between a stacked “Arizona State” workmark, which is rendered in maroon and outlined in gold. There’s also maroon trim on the collar, arm holes, waistband and bottom of the shorts.
The Sun Devils’ mascot, Sparky, sits at the base of the collar and on both the sides of the shorts, while Harden’s No. 13 is contained within a gold tab on the back collar. His personal logo is on the right shoulder, as well as near the bottom of the left leg of the shorts.

Arizona State is latest adidas program to promote its relationship with a famous alum, as the Texas Tech football and baseball teams have worn uniforms in each of the last two seasons that feature the “Gladiator” logo of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
The Louisville basketball program also wore throwback-inspired uniforms earlier this month that displayed the “Spida” logo of Cleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell. They debuted in a 79-70 loss to Virginia on Jan. 13.
It’s unclear if adidas has any additional collaborations planned, though it’s unlikely since their premier athletes like Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards (Georgia) and Washington Wizards guard Trae Young (Oklahoma) went to Nike/Jordan Brand schools.
