The Cleveland Indians today unveiled slight tweaks to two of their in-game uniforms as well as their batting practice jersey in time for the 2012 season.
The changes were made to the home white, alternate blue and batting practice jerseys, the two in-game jerseys added collar piping and all three involved simplifying the script.
The Indians described the changes to the home and alternate jerseys themselves via an official media release…
Home Whites
The traditional home white uniform will sport a front script “Indians” two-layer red and navy blue applique, navy blue trim around the collar combined with the navy blue and red cap with the Chief Wahoo logo.
Alternate Blues
The alternate road navy uniform will showcase a front script “Indians” two-layer red and white applique, gray trim around the collar paired with a solid navy blue cap with the Chief Wahoo logo.
Batting Practice
The blue batting practice uniform arched-script INDIANS logo has also been reduced to two colour, from red-on-blue-on-white to simply red-on-white.
Also eliminated was the piping down the front of both these jerseys, the road grey jersey and the cream heritage alternate jersey will both remain the same as they looked in 2011.
