In what is becoming a bit of a usual thing for big-time European clubs, Italian giants A.C. Milan have gone ahead and revealed their primary and third kits for next season before this season has ended. Well, unlike Liverpool and Chelsea, their season is basically over (they won’t be qualifying for European competitions for the first time in who knows when), so it seems like a pretty good time to go ahead and unveil some new stuff for what will hopefully be a better season next season.
Of course, the primary kit is the main focus here, what with the elephant in the room that is the crest. The crest on the primary shirt is actually a bit of a throwback to one of the kits that the English-founded team wore during its infancy years. The crest also features the primary A.C. Milan crest sublimated inside of the lower right-hand corner. In addition, the team is wearing two shades of red on their primary shirt for the first time in club history, so this is definitely a very unique shirt for the 7-time UEFA Champions League winners.
Milan’s 3rd choice kit is a yellow shirt with green trim and green shorts. The design is said to be a bit of a tribute to the rich history of Brazilian players that the club has.
Even though the kit is mostly yellow, green, and white, there are still traces of red-and-black (in addition to the crest staying the same color on both the shirt and shorts) in order to give the kit a look that is still very unique to A.C. Milan.
Overall, both kits are very solidly designed (as usual when it comes to a big club like this one), and although we won’t be seeing the Rossoneri in these kits in European competition next season, it’s still surely a look that their supporters will enjoy seeing on the pitch. But what do you think? Did adidas nail these kits or not?
