Last year, Junior Lake was the unfortunate soul who got caught out there on the field wearing the wrong road jersey. Granted, this happened after an absolute marathon of a game, so maybe we should’ve given him a bit of slack. It’s already hard enough being a professional athlete; They shouldn’t have to deal with that embarrassment on top of everything else.
Well, it’s happened again to the Cubs; Another one of their players showed up to their game in the wrong road jersey. The Cubbies decided to wear their alternate (and inferior, if we’re being honest here) road jersey. Apparently Jonathan Herrera didn’t get the memo, because he showed up in the primary road jersey.
I’m just shocked that this has happened to the same team twice in two seasons. Maybe this should be seen as a sign that they should just drop one of those jerseys (preferably the alt) and stick with one. It’ll make for less confusion, we promise!
