Back in January, we got a hold of an image that appeared to show the Los Angeles Galaxy’s new home kit. One of the elements that was different from previous Galaxy kits was that the Herbalife sponsor logo on the chest went through a bit of a change. Now, the change was made official when the Galaxy decided to put the new Herbalife logo on their away kit from last season.
Here’s explanation from the Galaxy via their press release:
“The new Herbalife Nutrition logo on the LA Galaxy jerseys represents the culmination of an unprecedented 10-year track record of providing the LA Galaxy players with our full suite of products and customized nutrition programs prepared by our staff of nutrition experts,” said Michael O. Johnson, chairman and CEO, Herbalife. “Our mission is to change people’s lives around the world by providing them with access to good nutrition and a healthy active lifestyle, and we look forward to keeping the LA Galaxy players fueled this 2016 season.”
Herbalife Nutrition will now also be featured on all LA Galaxy training gear for staff and players. In addition, Herbalife will remain the Galaxy’s official and exclusive nutrition partner, with the entire line of Herbalife products available to the club’s players and coaching staff.
Again, this basically all but confirms that the leaked image we saw in the link to our previous post is probably legit. Considering how nice that particular shirt looks, I’d consider this to be pretty good news.
