As it prepares to celebrate 100 years of its participation in intercollegiate athletics, John Carroll University on Friday unveiled a brand new logo, color pallette and wordmark.
The collaborative process took more than a year, and involved input from athletes, coaches, athletic administrators and school leaders.
From the athletic department’s press release:
Through these efforts, we can achieve consistency and continuity across all programs, while better articulating our story. Our new brand represents our shared experience, as we step forward together into a new era of John Carroll athletics. We reflect on where we’ve been and where we are going.
Generations of student-athletes have proudly worn the blue and gold, traveling to compete for championships across the country and around the world. While many colleges will promise an opportunity to win championships, John Carroll has always gone one step further, ensuring that when our student-athletes graduate, they leave ready to compete in the world, no matter what field they choose
The Blue Streaks’ new color scheme, which will be implemented for the 2019-2020 academic year, features darker shades of blue and a richer shade of gold.
