The Tennessee Titans will pay tribute to the city of Nashville and the six first responders who successfully evacuated the downtown area before a bomb exploded on Christmas morning by wearing a special helmet decal during Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans (4:25 p.m. ET on CBS).
The decal features the text “615 Strong,” a reference to Nashville’s area code, in Tennessee’s uniform number font. The No. 6 is light blue outlined in white in honor of metro police officers Brenna Hosey, Tyler Luellen, Michael Sipos, Amanda Topping and James Wells and Sergeant Timothy Miller, who responded to a shots fired call and discovered a suspicious RV parked on 2nd Ave.
The Titans also announced they have made a donation to the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corporation’s Music City Inc. relief fund, which will help businesses, residents and employees impacted by the bombing. The effort was started by linebacker Will Compton
