When the Los Angeles released their current uniforms last spring, they also teased two additional alternates to be unveiled in 2021 and 2022, respectively.
Details about the design and/or reveal date of the new uniforms have been sparse – at least until now.
“Our goal is before training camp,” Rams chief operating officer Kevin Demoff said on The Athletic’s 11 Personnel podcast earlier this week. “Unless you are debuting a completely new primary set of uniforms, NFL rules basically stipulate it’s post-July 1.
“That’s probably an unknown NFL uniform rule. There are multiple teams this year that are waiting to (unveil) and alternate, a classic, a throwback – whatever you want to call it. (Those are) coming post-July 1.”

Assuming that’s the case, Los Angeles will reveal its new uniform sometime between July 2 and July 25, when players start reporting to training camp.
“That is our goal. It could slide back, if some issues present,” Demoff said. “I get asked every day on Twitter, ‘When are they coming?’ and I think someone actually has a countdown on a day-by-day basis. Unfortunately, it’s still a little fluid.
“The new uniforms are coming. They can be worn up to three times this year, and we expect to have them certainly by the start of the season, but likely training camp.”

Demoff’s explanation makes sense, seeing as neither the Cleveland Browns nor San Francisco 49ers have unveiled their throwback uniforms that were leaked earlier this spring. The Green Bay Packers have also teased an classic uniform, though it’s still unclear what those will look like or what season they’ll honor.
That said, it’s probably safe to assume we’ll have four new uniform unveilings sometime in July.
