City Inspires Arminia Bielefeld’s 2021-22 Bundesliga Kits

German Bundesliga side Arminia Bielefeld is taking inspiration from the city they play in for all three of their 2021-22 kits.

The club released its Macron-manufactured kits for the upcoming season over the past week. The big one, of course, is the home kit, which features a bold look of wide black and blue stripes separated by narrower white stripes.

The sleeves are solid blue, while the back is solid white to make the names and numbers more legible. The collar is white with black trim, and the sleeves are white and black.

On the back near the collar is a black embroidered shield containing chevrons. This is taken from the coat of arms of the city of Bielefeld.

The home shorts are solid black, while the socks are black with blue and white trim.

Arminia Bielefeld’s away kit also draws inspiration from the city’s coat of arms, with tonal chevrons adorning the black shirt. The collar and sleeve cuffs are blue with white trim. The shorts and socks pictured in the unveiling photos are the same as the home kit.

The third kit also draws inspiration from the club’s home city, but this time more from the civic government. The shirt is mainly red, with darker red raglan sleeves. It features an embossed city logo on the lower right side. The shorts and socks are also red, though the socks do have some dark red and white trim.

Arminia Bielefeld finished the 2020-21 Bundesliga season in 15th place out of 18 teams, narrowly avoiding the relegation playoff.
